Tong Sui was caught off guard and was kissed.
The group of female bugs, watching the two entangled figures from a distance, turned pale at the sight.
“It seems we have no chance.”
“Turns out it was us who were the clowns.”
Clearly, they underestimated the General. How could he possibly part with his treasure?
So when Tong Sui blushed and approached, the female bugs settled down considerably; they simply greeted him politely and left.
Lu Yunyi stayed behind, saying, “Can we talk privately?”
“Is that okay?”
Tong Sui glanced at Bai Xingluo, who frowned slightly, unwilling but still nodded.
On the transparent glass balcony of the second floor,
Tong Sui and Lu Yunyi stood above.
The training ground below was clearly visible, and Bai Xingluo squinted as he walked over, causing a group of military females to tremble slightly.
The pressure around him was dangerously low.
After not seeing him for a long time, he felt even more terrifying.
Bai Xingluo said, “Not training seriously? Come on, let me see how you all have progressed.”
A large group of military females was quickly taken down by Bai Xingluo’s moves.
His actions were smooth and swift, with no unnecessary movements, each strike aimed directly at their vital points.
No one could last more than two moves against him.
Watching from the balcony, Tong Sui clapped, opening the window. “Luo Luo, you’re amazing!!”
Bai Xingluo paused for a moment, turning to smile at Tong Sui, with glistening beads of sweat catching the sunlight.
Suddenly, the group of military females felt the deadly low pressure ease, saving their lives.
Lu Yunyi stood next to Tong Sui, keeping a polite distance.
“It’s been a while since we last met, and I am very grateful; if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t dare believe I could sit in this position.”
“That’s because your strength matches it,” Tong Sui turned his head, “your abilities are very strong; you could completely change the state of this empire.”
“I don’t even know how to thank you.”
“Hmm…” Tong Sui smiled, “If you really want to thank me, I hope you can change one of the systems.”
Lu Yunyi asked, “What?”
Tong Sui shared his thoughts with him.
“That’s definitely not a problem; I’ll have the bugs modify it right away.”
Lu Yunyi looked towards Bai Xingluo on the training ground not far away and said, “Sometimes I really envy Bai Xingluo for having met you.”
They didn’t stay alone for long.
Tong Sui came down; as he approached Bai Xingluo, the surroundings erupted into cheers.
Tong Sui raised his hand, “Watch the punches!”
Bai Xingluo gripped his fist with one hand, pulling Tong Sui closer, reducing their distance abruptly.
Bai Xingluo was drenched in sweat, and his muscles felt heated under the sunlight.
Tong Sui sensed the mixed scent of sunlight and hormones coming from Bai Xingluo. “Are you done training?”
“Almost.” Bai Xingluo glanced at Lu Yunyi not far behind him. “Have you finished talking?”
“Mm, why? Are you hoping I talk with him a bit more?”
“Not at all; you two have talked long enough.”
In reality, they only spent a few minutes alone, but every minute and second Tong Sui spent with other female bugs felt particularly prolonged.
Bai Xingluo said, “Let me take you to my office.”
The training ground was too sunny.
Tong Sui’s skin was exceptionally fair, having not been outdoors for days, almost like translucent mutton-fat jade.
After walking a few steps, his skin reddened from the sun; this body’s constitution was delicate, unable to endure even slight hardship.
Fortunately, the distance was not long.
Tong Sui stepped into the elevator, and when it opened, he found Bai Xingluo’s office mirrored his personal style.
It was simple and efficient.
Looking around, there was hardly anything cluttered; his desk was large but had very few items on it.
Most of the important documents were archived in a big bookshelf against the wall.
Tong Sui scanned the room,
walking to the bookshelf behind the desk; every document was meticulously ordered by timeline.
He could almost imagine Bai Xingluo’s furrowed brow and defined hands as he organized those files, with veins slightly pulsing as he moved.
At that moment, a hand encircled his waist from behind.
Tong Sui was placed onto the desk.
Bai Xingluo now held a damp towel, carefully wiping Tong Sui’s reddened skin from the sun.
Tong Sui noticed his finger joints and grabbed his hand, finding faint bruises. “Don’t just pay attention to me!”
“Where’s your medicine box?” Tong Sui used his sleeve to wipe the sweat from Bai Xingluo’s face. “Did you just get it ready?”
“Mm.”
Bai Xingluo opened a drawer and took out a small medicine box, and as Tong Sui diligently applied medicine on his skin, he quietly said, “Lord, there’s just one more time today.”
Tong Sui’s ears flushed instantly, even more vividly than when he was sunburned.
“T-then let’s go back.”
Tong Sui pretended to get off the desk, but he was pressed down by Bai Xingluo’s hand.
That hand, having just applied medicine, had immense strength, showing no effect from the earlier actions.
“Have you just come out? Are we already going back?”
“What do you want to do then?” Tong Sui asked, “Do you plan to do it in a place like this? No way, someone will see!”
“That won’t happen.”
Bai Xingluo pressed a button next to him, and the door clicked shut with a bolt. “There are many confidential documents stored here; there couldn’t possibly be any listening devices or cameras.”
“…Oh.”
Tong Sui turned his head, meeting Bai Xingluo’s undisguised gaze, trembling slightly. “But still, we should go back to discuss this.”
